Lead Instructor

Jay Lawrence is the President of Trident Training Solutions Inc., where he leads the development of innovative training programs for security, healthcare, public safety, and frontline professionals. With more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, public safety, and frontline operations, Jay has served in senior leadership and training roles including Chief Special Constable and Staff Sergeant of Training and Logistical Support. Jay specializes in operational instruction, conflict management, de-escalation, officer and personal safety, use of force, investigative skills, and scenario-based learning. He helps organizations build safer, more capable teams through practical, engaging, and operationally relevant training solutions that bridge theory with real-world application. Jay’s educational and professional credentials include an Undergraduate Certificate in Law from Queen's University Faculty of Law, certificates in Adult Education and Curriculum Development, certification as a Certified Use of Force Instructor (Special Constable) through the Ontario Police College, certification as a Realistic De-Escalation Instructor through the Force Science Institute, and a Diploma in Police Foundations.
